I transfered my daughter into Wells half way through her freshman year. I had MAJOR concerns regarding the reputation of the school, however after researching I found that they were cleaning house. Principal Matias is doing an amazing job and has really given the school new vision. He greets parents and students with a warm, friendly hug and shows genuine interest in every single student.

You just don't see that anymore within school administration. He and his staff are to be commended for their compassion and passion for their jobs.

Regarding the things that ppl say about this school, don't believe it. Walk into the campus, take a tour, interact with staff and students. You'll quickly see that this school has gotten a bumm rap. I transfered my daughter from a school with a great reputation, which was my reason for putting her there to only have her belittled by the principal and staff. It was a horrible school, yet known for being "great". I put her in Wells, the reverse happened. A school that's looked badly upon, yet I found them to be amazing.

Wells Academy has completely won me over. When they do and if not they have to find them. Each kid is different doesn't mean they should be shoved to the side and forgot about because it takes a little more work to teach them.

This is the next generation we should treat it with the best. Parents here in Kingman need to be more involved with their kids education rather than thinking their kids are a burden. Parent Review 4y ago. Kingman High School. I have been in the KHS family for 2 years. Unfortunately I have to relocate. I have come to know the administration and some of the teachers and wish I could take them with me.

Every school has its problems but KHS does its best to make sure students are prepared. I will watch my son graduate this May and I can only say thank you to the administration and teachers!

Go Bulldogs!!! Parent Review 6y ago. Manzanita Elementary School. We moved to this area 2 years ago and in those 2 years they have lost my child 4 times by putting her on the incorrect bus route. I provide a detailed schedule in calendar form that has the bus route and stop for each day, yet they've still managed to put her on the wrong bus.

In addition, the teacher my daughter currently has, has poor communication skills and has not outlined expectations regarding grading. I was shocked to receive her report card and find a C when she has always made straight A's. My daughter explained that if she doesn't have enough time to finish a worksheet it negatively affects her grade?! Still waiting to hear back on the email I desperately sent wanting an explanation.

Out of all the schools in this city, this school is the best one academically but that's not saying much. We never had these problems in any of he schools from our old city. Armstrong High School. GreatSchools Rating. Parent Rating Average. Armstrong High School is full of caring teachers and students who are willing and want to learn, unfortunately, there are always a few students, who make it bad, for the school as a whole.

What would really make the school better, is to just put the kids who are disrespectful, violent and ignorant beyond measure out! Stop tolerating their foolishness, so the teachers can teach, and the students can learn. It is time to make the students and parents more accountable, and stop putting the total blame on teachers. As a parent, I have been inside Armstrong and seen teachers go the extra mile, with their time, patience and their money, to help the students. Armstrong isn't a perfect school, but it has the potential to be a great school, with the right support from the parents, students and the community.

It has been three years of intense intellectual growth for our son, under the careful guidance of brilliant teachers and staff. There cannot be any better colleagues and life-long friends for our children attending this fabulous school.
